Collapsible Rescue Basket combines compact stow ability of rescue net systems with the ruggedness, rigidity and safety of the field proven tubular frame rescue basket. Featuring a 55% reduced stowage volume compared to the rigid style basket, this unit permits operators of smaller or non-SAR specific helicopters to carry the rescue device full time. Open internal volume, able to fit two average adults will speed the recovery and reduce the time at scene for multi-victim rescues. Bail assemblies fold into the basket, and each side collapses for compact stowage. Easily and quickly erected by lifting the bails and top rail assembly up, and rotating the side supports down (secured in place by simple spring locks), providing a rigid structure that aids handling and entry into the basket. Tubular hinge design of the bail assemblies reduces weight and maintenance requirements. Constructed of TIG welded stainless steel and 1/2″ nylon webbing side net. Inherent flotation provides positive self righting and reserve buoyancy. Float covers are printed with safety pictorials and have high intensity retroreflective markings. Heavy-duty stowage case & nylon stowage strap are included.
