This translator is an essential tool developed for any personnel that may become separated from their group or otherwise find themselves in unfamiliar territory – whether hostile or friendly. It contains strong visual language graphics to help communicate current situation, request help, locate shelter, get first aid assistance and acquire basic needs, as well as images to assist in identifying danger, navigating terrain, finding transport and accessing communication devices to regain contact with friendlies – all by pointing to pictures. It also contains the Air Force code of conduct, tap code, personal safety reference guidelines for “what to do” to be inconspicuous and to improve personal conditions in the initial moments of a confusing situation.
