Swim metrics include distance, efficiency, stroke type, stroke count and pool lengths. Designed for open water and pool swimming, it's water resistant to 50 meters. Although heart rate monitor may be worn in water, it will not transmit heart rate data while submerged. Forerunner® has a battery life of 20 hours and wirelessly transfers data to Garmin Connect.
