The Optimum Traction Device (OTD) is a cost-effective solution for accomplishing swift rigid splinting with traction to assist in the restoration of neurovascular function and limb length in the prehospital and definitive care settings. The OTD is a preferred option for standard patient care and transport scenarios, due to the required extension beyond the foot (NOTE: For scenarios likely to involve technical rescue or aeromedical transport, consider the Mustang Traction Splint (MTS)).
