Released in June 2014, the Mustang Traction Splint (MTS) is revolutionizing traction splinting. Taking advantage of the familiarity and functionality of the OTD and ITD, the MTS was developed through various close relationships with the special operations community. Designed to eliminate patient evacuation concerns, the MTS does not extend beyond the foot and traction can be pulled proximally or distally. Weighing only nine ounces, the MTS is vacuum packaged into an incredibly small set that can be stored in just about anything with relatively no commitment to allocating space.
