Sked Stretcher was originally designed to evacuate a wounded soldier over long distances by only one person. Since then it has been responsible for saving thousands of lives. Patients can be loaded into a Sked without lifting him/her. Sked can be dragged over virtually any terrain, carried, hoisted by helicopter or on rope rescue systems, used for parachute bundles and is very efficient in the water. It floats nearly vertically and requires only 20 seconds to package a patient in the water. Sked is also a “combat delivery vehicle” for mortars, mortar rounds, mortar bases, machine guns, medical field chests, and all other supplies. It can be used for underwater demolition. It is used for collecting water at night on the desert. Sked is truly one of the most versatile tools in the military.
