Rockwell Collins is a trusted provider of GPS (Global Positioning System) for the U.S. military. This foundation is built on over 30 years’ experience and over 1 million military GPS receivers delivered. Rockwell Collins has built handheld GPS products since 1993. Key surface products include the PLGR (Precision Lightweight GPS Receiver) and DAGR (Defense Advanced GPS Receiver). Primarily used by the U.S. Army, the DAGR is currently considered the handheld military GPS receiver standard for position, navigation and situational awareness for soldiers and other system installation needs. DAGR incorporates anti-jamming and denied GPS capabilities for worldwide enhanced battlefield protection and is the first U.S. handheld GPS receiver to receive the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM), a next-generation security device. Rockwell Collins has delivered over 200,000 PLGRs and 470,000 DAGRs to date. Building on the strong legacy of military GPS handheld receivers, Rockwell Collins recently released the next generation of products with the unveiling of the MicroDAGR handheld receiver and MicroDAGAR-V (Vehicle) receiver. These products are expected to expand the universe of GPS application uses because of their small size. These latest-generation navigation devices represent a major step forward in delivering small, lightweight, easy-to-use military GPS SAASM receivers to the warfighter.
