(NASDAQ: AVAV) announced that it received a firm fixed-price order valued at $21,779,408 from ADS, Inc. on behalf of the United States Marine Corps for RQ-12 Wasp® AE small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and initial spares packages. The United States Marine Corps, which recently unveiled its next generation small UAS family of systems, is adding RQ-12 Wasp AE as the short-range, or micro, solution to the existing small UAS portfolio made up of the AeroVironment RQ-11B Raven® and RQ-20A Puma™ AE. The Puma AE is the USMC’s long-range solution. “Together with the professionals at ADS, whose military-experienced personnel procured this order by demonstrating a clear understanding of the customer’s mission and requirements, we are confident that Wasp AE will provide deployed Marines with valuable situational awareness that will help them operate more safely and effectively,” said Roy Minson, AeroVironment senior vice president and general manager of its Unmanned Aircraft Systems business segment.

Delivery is scheduled within 12 months. Previously procured by the Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, the Wasp AE weighs 2.8 pounds, operates for up to 50 minutes at a range of up to five kilometers and delivers live, streaming color and infrared video from its pan-tilt-zoom Mantis i22 AE gimbaled payload. ADS to Provide Commercial Fasteners to DoD Customers Worldwide.
Virginia Beach, VA, USA, October 1, 2014: ADS, Inc. has been selected by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support to provide supply chain solutions in support of their Commercial Fastener Integrator (CFI) Initiative Program. DLA recently awarded ADS an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to supply thousands of commercial fastener products to DoD Customers around the world. The contract consists of a three-year base term and an additional two-year option with a total value of up to $84 million over five years. The CFI Initiative is a critical step in DLA’s strategy to transform the way it orders, receives, manages, and distributes commercial fasteners. The 35kW Generator ECU Trailer (GET) is a rugged and reliable source of power and environmental control for mobile shelter systems. Our HMMWV-towable trailer-based systems are designed and tested for the most extreme terrain and weather conditions. They automatically shed load banks and ECU when full power is required. Fuel consumption is 2.8 GPH at full load. Load Share Parallel option is available. HDT trailer-based systems have been tested and certified at Aberdeen and Yuma Proving Grounds.

POWERED HEATERS
HDT offers the best in powered heaters, with output ranging from 60,000 to 200,000 BTUs. Heaters use a variety of fuel sources, including all grades of diesel fuels (such as JP8) and operate on 110VAC, 220 50hz, 208 3 Phase voltages. HDT’s heaters are designed to burn all grades of diesel fuels including JP8. These versatile heaters are ideal for heating a wide variety of tent systems. Some heaters, such as, the MTH150CP CBRN-Compatible Tent Heater is designed to allow the heater to be run in 100% recirculation mode with a 400-cfm CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) filtration system to protect inhabitants from any CBRN agents that might be present in the outside air supply.

Virginia Beach, VA, USA, August 21, 2014: CAE has announced that they have been awarded a contract through ADS Inc. and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) program to provide the United States Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) at Dobbins Air Force Base with a comprehensive Aeromedical Evacuation Training System.
The Aeromedical Evacuation Training System, which can be developed for a range of air mobility aircraft platforms, will provide AFRC with a realistic training environment that will be used to prepare aeromedical evacuation crews for pre-flight and emergency procedures as well as in-flight patient care.
CAE will provide a high-fidelity C-130 fuselage trainer that is configured for aeromedical evacuation missions. Within the C-130 fuselage trainer will be CAE Healthcare iStan human patient simulators, which feature internal robotics that mimic human cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological systems. When iStan bleeds, his blood pressure, heart rate and other clinical signs change automatically, and he responds to treatment with minimal input from an instructor. The overall Aeromedical Evacuation Training System provided by CAE will include courseware and curriculum, as well as a hand-held, wireless tablet instructor operator station to provide full control and customization of a variety of training scenarios.

Available through ADS, NTtv is an OPERATE ANYWHERE, TRAIN ANYWHERE, VIEW FROM ANYWHERE first person video sharing system. The system gives you the ability to connect to any type of camera and view multiple video streams by simply swiping the screen of any smart device that is wirelessly connected to the encoder.
